A decade in the making, Batch #10 of the Captain’s Table (and the final installment of this ten-barrel mission) stands as a triumph of patience and craft.
Distilled in December 2013 from 100% malted rye grown and malted on a family farm in Oregon, this whiskey began its journey in new charred American white oak before spending years maturing in seasoned Cognac barrels, a progression that imparts exceptional depth and balance.
Its light-bronze hue opens with aromas of plums, cinnamon, allspice, and caraway. The palate follows with layered notes of fig, dates, cashews, and brown sugar, wrapped in warmth and quiet elegance, culminating in a long, honeyed finish.
Distillery Master Crispin Cain laid this barrel down in 2013 alongside one sister barrel, which went on to claim a Gold Medal and Best in Category at the New Orleans Spirits Competition. Batch #10 shares that lineage, capturing the same harmony of grain, barrel, and time in a contemplative pour crafted for those who appreciate mastery earned sip by sip.
